About CCHC - General Information

Columbia Cascade Housing Corporation's mission is to provide opportunities for safe, decent, affordable housing. We assist those who are homeless or at extreme risk including the elderly, the mentally and physically disabled, and women in transitional situations.

We have 160 units providing a wide range of housing opportunities, from low-income elderly, low-income families to transitional housing for the mentally and emotionally challenged. We have farmworker housing and elderly assisted living. Our service area encompasses over 7,200 square miles.

CCHC was founded in 1990. We are a 501 (c)3 Corporation- which means a non profit organization. We are also a Community & Housing Development Organization (CHDO) that requires us to have a board of which at least 30% are considered low income. In our case (7 members) at least 3 must be low income or represent low income communities. The board of directors is also made up of one County Commissioner representing each state; minority and women representation is always sought.

Our President has been involved in CCHC since it's inception in 1990. The local advisory committee members total no less than 25.

We offer homeowner education classes and the free computer lab. We also arrange for services such as ESL and parenting classes which have been offered in our projects. We also work closely with service agencies to provide a variety of services as needed.
